James Mulvany with Jason Barnard - Podcast

James Mulvany has launched, promoted and monetized many podcasts. In this video interview with Jason Barnard, he explains how he succeeded.

James Mulvany talks to Jason Barnard about podcasting.

First things to do with a podcast is to have something to sell, make sure you know who your audience is going to be and how you plan to convert them into subscribers, or clients… So, assuming you aren’t just doing it for fun, make sure you bake your business into the format and presentation of the podcast. Once launched, be consistent and maintain a schedule. Once you get that flywheel going, podcasts are an incredible source of multiple signals that help SEO – inbound links, mentions, content that engages your audience. And that drives ranking in the traditional blue links… and also image search, video search, rich elements and Brand SERPs (what people see when they google your brand name). Google is changing the podcasting game by making podcasts more easily findable and discoverable. Having a decent SEO strategy around your podcast becomes your single most powerful audience-building strategy. Brilliant!
