Richard Nazarewicz talks with Jason Barnard about SEO for News, which is often perceived by others to be shrouded in secrecy and is always a source of many questions when I meet other SEOs at events and even at social gatherings outside of the SEO bubble.
I will share the nuances of SEO within the world of Global News organizations and how strategizing, planning and organizing can be a mammoth undertaking across multiple teams, brands and technology stacks.
Coming from a technical background rather than an editorial one, I will give some insight into Google News Publisher Center, real-time (almost) analytics, auditing at scale, and managing an Agile process across many teams with a centralized SEO Product ticketing board. We may also discuss some of the newer shiny things like Discover, Web Stories, Podcasts and Video in news and search.
